Calendar and lists
Opening Calendar and lists
Calendar and lists builds dated lists from a chart's techniques and the moments you collect, and sends them out as a calendar link or a file, so a client can see their year's dates in their own calendar.
Click Calendar and lists in the top bar.
Tap Tools, then Calendar and lists. Workspace, at the top, goes back.
Your lists sit under Lists, each marked Published, Changes not published, or Not published. Click a list to open it. The right side of the window shows what it holds: List shows the entries by month, and Calendar shows them on a month grid. When a list draws on more than one source, chips above the preview narrow it to one. The chips change only the view, and publishing and downloading always take the whole list.
The window opens on your lists alone, and a list opens full screen, with Lists at the top to go back and its buttons along the bottom.
Signed out, you can only download. Sign in to save and publish lists.
Building a list in Calendar and lists
A list is built from one source chart, a span of dates, and the techniques whose dates you want on it.
- Click + New list and type a List name.
- Click + Add dates from a chart… and pick the Source chart. The menu holds the charts open in your tabs, and Choose saved chart… opens your library.
- Set From and To. They start on today and a year from today.
- Click Add a technique and pick one. Add as many as you want.
- Click Create list.
Each technique is a row. Click the row to open its settings, and × to take it out. An open list saves its changes on its own, a moment after you make them.
A list can also hold single moments, such as a set of elections for a client, and a list of moments needs no source chart. Send moments into a list from Elect with Send…, choosing List. To add a chart you have already saved, open the list and click + Add a saved chart…, and it joins as one moment at the chart's own date and time. In the preview, a collected moment opens as a sky tab when you click it, and × beside it takes it out of the list.
To rename a list, open it and click the pencil beside its name. To delete one, click × on its row, then Delete list. A published link stops working.
Techniques in a list
Each technique you add brings its dates for the span into the list, and each has a few settings of its own.
- Transits and progressions come from a saved Jobs setup. Pick it under Setup. Edit setups in Jobs…, at the foot of the menu, closes this window and opens Jobs in the Graph.
- Profections add the turn of each year. Profect from chooses the Ascendant, Midheaven, Sun, Moon or Lot of Fortune.
- Zodiacal Releasing adds the start of each period. Release from chooses the Lot of Spirit, Lot of Fortune, Sun or Moon. Depth picks how many levels, 1 to 4.
- Firdaria and Decennials add each period and sub-period.
- Circumambulation adds each new bound. Releaser, Bounds and Times set how it runs.
Time lord techniques give one entry on the day each period begins.
Publishing a list as a link
Publishing turns a list into a calendar subscription, so the dates appear in your own or a client's calendar and stay current when you change the list.
- Open the list.
- Click Publish this list.
- Click Add to Google Calendar or Add to Apple Calendar. For any other calendar, copy the address under Subscription link with Copy link and subscribe to it there.
When you change a published list, its status turns to Changes not published. Click Update published list and every calendar subscribed to it picks up the change.
Anyone who has the link can subscribe to the list, so give it only to the person it is for.
Downloading a list as a file
Downloading gives you the list as a file to keep or hand to a client, as it stood when you downloaded it. Click Download… and choose Calendar file (.ics) or Printable list (.pdf). The calendar file opens in any calendar program, and the printable list is a page for the client, with your letterhead at the top and the entries by month. Download works signed out.
Share PDF, in place of Download, sends the printable list out through the phone's share sheet.
