Giving a chart to a client

A picture of the wheel for a client

The quickest thing to hand a client is the wheel itself as a picture, to send in a message or drop into your own notes. On the chart, open the wheel menu and choose Save image…, or choose it from the rings on a tab. The Save chart image window shows the file as it will be saved.

  • Background is As on screen, in your skin, Plain on white, or Plain, transparent.
  • Include has Name and birth data in the corners, and The photo in the centre when the chart has a photo.
  • Size is Small, Medium or Large.

Click Save PNG. The steps and a picture of the window are on saving the wheel as a picture.

Exporting a research project as a PDF

A research project can go out as a PDF, to share your findings with a client or a colleague or keep a printed copy. On a computer, open the project and click Export PDF at the foot of the board. A preview opens beside an Include list.

  • Title and birth details
  • Chart wheel
  • Letterhead, once you have set one.

Click Export PDF to save the file.

Letterhead prints your practice name at the top of a project PDF and of a printable list. Open Settings, then Account, then Letterhead, and type your Practice name, with a line Below it if you want one. Leave both empty for no letterhead. Projects themselves are on Research projects.

Sending a client a list of dates

For a year of dates, such as a client's profections, releasing periods and the transits from your setup, build a list in Calendar and lists and give it to them as a calendar they subscribe to or as a file.

Publishing turns the list into a subscription link, so the dates appear in the client's calendar and stay current when you change the list. The steps are on publishing a list as a link. Anyone with the link can subscribe, so give it only to the person it is for.

Downloading gives the list as it stands, as a Calendar file (.ics) for any calendar program, or a Printable list (.pdf) with your letterhead, which a phone sends out with Share PDF. Single moments from Elect go into a list with Send…, so a set of elections can travel the same way.

Downloading a card as a spreadsheet

On a computer, the tables in the Aspects, Lots, Midpoints, Fixed stars, Minor planets, Speculum and Ascensional times cards have Download CSV under Export, which saves the table you are looking at, and the Ephemeris downloads its whole range the same way.

Each file suits a different job. A PNG goes into a message, a report or a slide. A PDF prints and reads on its own, with your letterhead. An .ics file lands in a calendar, and a printable list is the same dates as a page for the client. A CSV opens in a spreadsheet, for your own research or for a client who wants the figures. A full copy of your library, for a backup or a move, is on taking your charts back out.
