Chart family

The Chart family card keeps the returns, progressions and copies cast from a saved chart in one list, so you can open any of them beside the original.

Reading the Chart family card

Chart family keeps the returns, progressions and other charts cast from a saved chart, any saved chart you import into it, and its copies. It needs a birth chart.

The chart you are reading heads the list under Viewing, in the accent colour. The rest are grouped by kind, such as Returns, Progressions and Copies.

Import, in the header, adds a saved chart to the family. Cast, or ⌘D, opens the Cast menu, and the chart you cast joins the family.

To make a copy, click the wheel's name card and choose Make a copy…, or choose Make a Copy… in the tab's chart menu. The chart it came from sits under Original and the copies under Copies.

Opening charts from the Chart family card

Any chart listed on the Chart family card opens with a click on its row, and Open in, above the list, says where it goes.

  • Ring stacks it on the current wheel.
  • Beside opens it on its own wheel, side by side. It is the default.
  • Replace takes over the focused wheel.

The × on a row opens Remove from family, with Undo in the strip at the foot of the card. On a phone, hold a row to bring out its ×. A saved chart also offers Delete chart…, which asks before it deletes the chart from your library with its notes and events.
