Profections

Reading profections

The Profections card has two columns side by side, Year and Month, so you can read a year and then its months. Year lists twelve years, each with the date it begins, the age, the profected sign and its lord. Month lists the twelve months of the year you have selected, laid out the same way. The current year and month each carry a thin bar that fills as the period runs.

Click a year to fill the Month column with its months. Click a month to keep it highlighted. A + before a month's date marks the month that reaches the sign the lord of the year occupies in the natal chart.

The arrows in the header step back or forward twelve years. Click the ages between them for a list of twelve-year stretches with their calendar years, and "now" beside the one you are in.

Both columns follow the chart's moment. Clicking a row reads that period, and the moment stays where it is. How the months are cut is set in monthly profection settings.

The from picker in the header sets where the count starts, the Ascendant (the default), Midheaven, Sun, Moon or Lot of Fortune, or any of the twelve signs. The choice is saved with each chart. Without a birth time the card profects from the Sun.

Minimized, the card shows Lord of Year and Lord of Month, each with its bar. Hover either one for its start and end dates. The years also have a lane on the life timeline.
